Patient Name: Guillermina Age: 49
|Nicaragua: The Blind Can See|
49 year-old Guillermina Alejandrina Lopez is from San Antonio in the department of Chontales, Nicaragua. In early June, 2011 she came through the Jeff Palmer team's medical clinic. Guillermina was totally blind due to having cataracts in both eyes. Because of this, she was forced to rely heavily on the help of her family to meet her everyday needs. Taking a prayerful step of faith, the Jeff Palmer team signed Guillermina up for Project Life; they committed to pay for bilateral cataract surgical removal. In the weeks that followed, Guillermina went to an initial medical consult. Shortly therefter, she had surgery to remove a cataract from one eye. A few weeks later, she returned and had surgery to remove the cataract from her other eye. Within a relatively short amount of time, Guillermina went from being completely blind to being able to see quite clearly! We praise God for the work He did in and through this team to be His Hands and Feet to help bring physical healing to Guillermina's eyes!
"And in that same hour [Jesus] cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight. Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached." -Luke 7:21-22
