Patient Name: Elda Age: 32
Hilda Rosa visited the Mark Brasher team in Pueblo Nuevo, Jinotega, in August, 2011. She gave many people a scare as at one point while waiting in line she experienced a seizure. Some of the team's medical personnel rushed to Hilda's side to care for her. As she recovered from her seizure, she voiced that she had terrible lower left sided abdominal pain. The team gently walked Hilda to the Cervical Screening Clinic. The physician there assessed Hilda's pain. She needed to go to the emergency room right then! A few people on the team joined Hilda and her sweet family on an hour and a half drive to the private hospital in Matagalpa. Just as we arrived to the hospital, Hilda began convulsing again. She was a very sick woman. Thankfully the hospital staff was able to stabilize her condition.
The team committed to making Hilda a Project Life patient. It was discovered that she had Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, and she was treated with IV antibiotics. When asked what Hilda's outcome would have been if the Brashier team did not take Hilda to the hospital, the doctor stated that she would have died. Hilda was discharged from the hospital in good condition a few days later.
How good it is to see God's servants be willing and ready to serve Him through very real, lifechanging means! In this way God saves lives still today!
